Revitalising Your Mojo - Starting your journey



I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the ‘Your Money’ installments from my latest book, Revitalising Your Mojo. For this final post, I thought I would summarise what we’ve covered over the last few months and throw in a couple of extra hints and tips.


It’s been wonderful to share snippets from my latest book over the last few months. As you may have guessed, I’m passionate about helping people feel positive and well in all aspects of their life, not just financially (although this is of course a huge part of what I do).

Since the end of last year, I’ve covered a range of topics geared towards helping you feel more confident and happier. Let’s take a quick look back.

Firstly, I’ll start with recapping some of the tips for financial wellness that I’ve shared.

  1. Think about the income you will need to achieve your future goals.

  2. Plan your future expenditure and allocate your finances accordingly.

  3. Seek professional financial advice.

  4. Make a Will (it’s never too early to do this).

  5. Insure yourself against ill health.

These are all important. Life moves quickly and it’s easy to go from one day to the next with no plan or goals in place. Spending time thinking about the future from both a financial and health point of view may help you to feel calmer and more positive about those areas in your life.

Make time for the important things in life


Spend time with the people you love and focus on having a healthy work-life balance. This may sound easier said than done.

While money is important it does not equal happiness, at least certainly not in the long term. Instead, cultivating meaningful relationships will help to lower stress and provide support and joy to your life in a way that money cannot.

Use your time effectively


I’m sure we’d all like more time to do the things we enjoy. While we can’t magic more time, putting good habits in place means that we can ensure we’re making the best possible use of the time we have.

For example, getting up 15 minutes earlier in the morning to reflect on the day ahead, complete a short mindfulness exercise or even just making sure you have time to have a good breakfast could make all the difference.

Once this type of habit becomes second nature you can then expand on it.

Seize the day!


Perhaps an obvious one but take advantage of the opportunities that come your way. When life presents challenges, it may be worth trying to see what can be made of them. As I mentioned in the full blog post on this topic, many small businesses showed great resilience in the pandemic by adapting to the needs of their clients (such as moving online, offering delivery, etc.). Beyond this, there’s nothing like embracing a new passion or taking on a new challenge to kickstart your mojo.

Think big!
